Opening a gym on my own, was definitely something that seemed impossible to me at one time. I will pour every ounce of myself into this place and I hope that you, as members, athletes, and friends, will be able to see that.

I found CrossFit back in 2009 in Franklin, Tennessee. After competing in various sports growing up including kneeboarding, soccer, swimming and jump rope, it was the perfect fit to re-light that competitive fire in me. While working at Rice University I became involved with a group who did CrossFit and thus began my coaching career. After coaching at Rice, I was a coach at Village CrossFit for 3 1/2 years.

I am passionate about training others and helping to improve their lives and in turn the lives of those who know them.

“I started my love for athletic competition in cheerleading, where I competed for 5 years. After high school, I found myself in a slump of only training for 5Ks and not expressing myself competitively. My mom suggested I try CrossFit back in 2012 in a small gym in Lake Jackson, and I’ve been hooked ever since.

When I’m not in the gym, I work as a dental hygienist and am a dog mom to a miniature pinscher named Poppy.

I have a passion for coaching and love the moment when someone achieves a goal they never thought possible.”

Bayley started with me when I first opened the gym and throughout the last three years I’ve watched her grow both personally and athletically. Over the last few years, I’ve witnessed an amazing amount of dedication and growth all due to her own hard work and self-discipline. I am very proud of her and look forward to watching what the future brings.

Bayley is dedicated, hard-working, self-disciplined and always helpful to others.

I am proud to have her on board as an athlete and now as a coach!

You’ll find Bayley coaching Monday and Wednesday evenings.

Michael and I coached together years ago at Village CrossFit. When he moved back to town and asked about coaching I said ‘Heck Yes!’.

Michael is very knowledgable and often has a different spin on things (or teaching technique) which helps us all grow. Being a doctor of physical therapy in his ‘other life’ often brings him bundles of questions like ‘why does it hurt when I do this’ but he’s always willing to help.

I’m proud to have Michael on board as a part of the Triat CrossFit fam.

You’ll find Michael coaching Tuesday evenings.

“My background is probably pretty typical - grew up playing sports, then I joined the Army after college. I started CrossFit in 2007, as I realized during my second deployment to Iraq that the typical body part splits weren't really useful in combat. I taught myself most of the movements via the exercise library on and other YouTube videos. I was lucky that my first experience at an affiliate, about a year later, was with an L2 coach (rare at the time) and a coach on the Barbell Seminar Staff. They were able to get rid of most of my bad habits. Since then, CrossFit has essentially been my gateway drug to fitness as I've gone to PT school, became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, absorb everything I can about kettlebells, Olympic weightlifting, and power lifting, AND get a 15% discount at Lululemon. I hope that I can use the things I learned along the way to help people on their fitness journey. “

Being my husband I can say what I want about Jonathan ; )

Jonathan truly has a passion for helping others. Over the decade I’ve watched as his passion for fitness grew. This combined with his desire to help others has helped to mold him into the fantastic coach that he is.

I believe this all began back in December of 2009 when he attended a Starting Strength seminar with me (due to a freak ice storm in the area). Mark Rippetoe told him ‘you better get strong or she will leave you’. Though the latter is false, ever since then I’ve seen a fire in him continue to develop for learning and growing in every area of heath and physical fitness.

You’ll find Jonathan coaching Thursday evenings what we like to call ‘pump’ day. Come join in on a class if you haven’t already and you’ll be in for a treat!

"I started CrossFit in 2009 and have found a passion for strength training, nutritional education and helping others achieve their goals with program design. I’m always striving to learn more and experiment with my own training."
